monday.com's Harmony calls leads, qualifies them and writes notes to your CRM. The handoff rules are the real build

monday.com now has a voice agent that calls your leads. The hard part is still deciding which ones a human should get.

What happened

monday.com launched Harmony, a voice AI platform that phones sales leads, qualifies them and passes the best ones to human reps. The Next Web reports it runs on voice technology from OneAI, which monday.com bought in May for $14.1M in cash, and that it is aimed at mid-market and large companies in the US, UK, Australia and Singapore.

Instead of one large model, Harmony uses a set of small models trained on real customer calls, each handling one job such as qualifying a lead or dealing with an objection. The company says its agents reply in about 200 milliseconds. It dials numbers, routes incoming calls and records consent using Twilio telephony, and writes call notes back to CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot. By default its agents tell callers they are AI. monday.com says Harmony reaches up to 70% of the people it calls, but did not share how it measured that, and it did not publish prices.

One early user, UK car finance broker Bright Car Finance, said Harmony helped it close 9% more deals in less than a year. In a CX Today interview, Head of Harmony Vitali Margolin said customers pay per minute and that the agent is not meant to close large deals on its own.

My take

The interesting design choice is the split: small models for each narrow step of a call, not one big model doing everything. That is the same pattern that works in CRM automation. Most steps are simple and should be cheap and fast. Only a few need judgment.

But the call itself is not where most of the value is won or lost. It is what happens after. Before you plug any voice agent into a client's pipeline, decide:

  • What counts as qualified, written as fields the agent must fill, not a vibe
  • Which outcomes create a task for a rep, and how fast that rep must act
  • Where consent and the AI disclosure get stored on the contact record
  • What happens to leads the agent could not reach, so they do not sit untouched

Bright Car Finance's problem was leads going cold. A voice agent helps only if the handoff is tighter than the one it replaced. Treat the notes it writes as data your workflows act on, and test the routing with real call outcomes before you scale the minutes.
